Earlier this year we were honoured to meet Michelle Pintley, daughter of the late Valerie Jean Cullen, who died in July 2023. She came into our office to formally present us with a bequest of $20,000 from her mother.
We learned from her that Valerie had no direct connection with the police, but always held the police force and their families in the highest regard. As Michelle said, “Mum always commented that a policeman has to inform a family that their loved one will not be coming home. Imagine the feelings of the police that have to go and knock on a door with the most tragic of news.”
Thank you Valerie for your compassion, and thank you Michelle for honouring your mother in this way. We are very grateful.
