On 7 March, the Sydney Metro 1000 lit up the Picton Karting Track once again, continuing a 5-year-strong tradition that’s been roaring from success to success. It was a glorious day of racing.
The honour and glory went to AFT Autosports, who claimed the Kelly Foster VA Trophy for the third year in a row, with honourable mentions also going to Nepean Racing Team (2nd place), The Three Wise Ducks (3rd place), and Quack To The Future, for their stellar fundraising efforts that landed them pole position at the start of the day. (Not to mention their outstanding team name!)
From our point of view, of course, everyone who got out there was a winner, because everyone was raising money for our Police Legatees. A massive thanks as always to Champion of NSW Police Legacy Sergeant Damian Leemon, whose passion and organisation over the last five years have led to a grand total of more than $110,000 raised for the Police Family. That's a chequered flag right there!
