NSW Police Legacy is extraordinarily grateful to the Association St. Sebasian Martyr of Cerami (Enna), who in late December presented our Vice-Chair Sgt Craig Partridge with a cheque for $30,000 to support our Police Legatees.
The association was formed in 1981 by a group of Italian migrants from the small town of Cerami, in Sicily, to celebrate their patron saint St Sebastian, and to maintain the cultural traditions of their region – holding masses, feast days, and social and cultural events for the community.
The Board of Directors of the association last year made the decision to wind up the organisation, and resolved to distribute their assets to charities, foundations, and research centres. It’s an incredibly generous and warm-hearted act, from which so many people will benefit, and we are very grateful to be one of the charities selected.
