December 2024
On 11 October at Hornsby RSL, our truly dedicated police boxers gave it their all as they jumped into the ring to raise money for the Police Family through the Police Boxing event.
With months of preparation under their belts, the amateur boxers stepped up in front of an enthusiastic crowd (who had their own part to play in making the night such a success!)

Even Superintendent Chris Schilt, one of the longtime organisers of the event, put in a return appearance in the ring, going the distance with style. And congratulations to Joe Schmitzer, who was awarded the Senior Constable Allan McQueen SC VA Best Up and Coming Boxer award for his efforts on the night.
Huge thanks to all the fighters who really put their money where their mouths were, and helped fundraise for both NSW Police Legacy and PCYC NSW. At last count, more than $75,000 had been raised – surely a knockout effort! Thank you also to the sponsors who helped make this all happen: Police Association of NSW, Police Bank, Brydens Lawyers, Turner Freeman Lawyers, and EML.
