On Fright Night / Fight Night / Friday the 13th of October, the Annual Police Boxing event delivered a knockout of an event at Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL. Leaning into the spooky theme, there was a total of thirteen bouts over the course of the evening, with each fight lasting three rounds.
There was a large and supportive crowd cheering along their mates, speeches from NSW Police Legacy Vice-Chair Craig Partridge and PCYC NSW Acting Chair Craig Beecroft, a raffle and a live auction, and a trophy presentation for the top fundraiser: David Roptell. All up, more than $100,000 was raised for the Police Family - a truly sensational amount!
We join forces with PCYC NSW in thanking all of the amateur fighters who gave freely of their time, energy, and determination over many months leading up to the event, and to the sponsors who helped make the night such a success: Police Bank, Police Association of NSW, EML, McNally Jones, Carroll & O’Dea, PSA, Momento Hospitality, and Lipman.
