On a sunny day at the end of March the Second Annual Sydney Metro 1000 karting challenge roared into life, and what a stunning occasion it was!
Community support for NSW Police Legacy comes in all shapes and sizes, and in this case, all speeds! The teams were competing even before race day, with the honour of pole position awarded to the team raising the most for Police Legacy.
In all, the day raised nearly $24,000 for the Police Family, and was a fitting tribute to the memory of Snr Cst Kelly Foster VA, herself a passionate kart racer (one among her many passions). The winning trophy is dedicated to her, and was presented on the day by Kelly’s parents Terry and Marilyn. What a day, what a dedication.
