Larapinta Trek 2025

March 2025

NSW Police Legacy has a proud tradition of expanding the horizons and positively challenging our young Police Legatees. In April this year we will continue to follow that tradition as a group of legatees and serving NSW Police Officers take on the challenge and the wonder that is the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory. Hiking for ten days across remote and rugged terrain, the group will conclude their adventure with an Anzac Day memorial service in Alice Springs.

As part of the challenge, we are asking all participants to fundraise – paying it forward to allow legatees to take part in future Police Legacy Adventure Treks.

Amongst the group will be two long-term Police Legacy families who have their own reasons for hiking the trail. Isobelle Bradford will be hiking alongside her mum Tanya, as the pair journey together while reflecting on their connection with Police Legacy. Joining them will be siblings Bryan, Maddy, Lyall, and Phil Powell, who are all well aware of the care and opportunities Legacy provides, and look forward to putting their best feet – and their best fundraising efforts – forward!
