William Cruise Scholarship

Awarded in memory of Det Const William ‘Bill’ Crews VA, this scholarship is awarded to remember the service and sacrifice of the young NSW Police Officer who was killed on duty in 2010. This year the recipient is Const Alana Rider. She is an officer from the Taree Region, and hopes one day to serve alongside her father in Port Macquarie.

Morgan Hill Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded in memory of Const Morgan Hill, a young NSW Police Officer who died in 2009. Having a love of computer science, this scholarship is awarded to Police Legatees who require IT equipment for their education. This year’s receipients are Dane Rochaix and Harper Campbell.

Tara’s Gift

Tara McLaughlin was a NSW Police Officer and a much-loved supervisor on NSW Police Legacy camps. In honour of her memory, the “Tara’s Gift” scholarship was established to recognise a young Police Legatee who displays leadership, as well as a positive and helpful attitude on camp. This year’s recipient is Jordan Baker.

Kerslake Scholarship

Awarded annually to a NSW Police Legatee who is undertaking technical education, this scholarship has been set up in memory of Graham George Kerslake, who died in 2013, and had a long-standing commitment to teaching technical education at St George Community Technical College. Education Grants now open for 2024

All NSW Police Legatee children who attend day care, school, or university/higher education, are eligible to apply for an Education Grant to help with the purchase of IT equipment, books, school uniforms etc. Download the “Education Grants Application Form” here.
