June 2020
In early March we had the absolute pleasure of hosting young Police Legatee Grace Kupa, along with her mum Tania Kupa, at a computer donation ceremony in our office. Thanks to an extraordinarily generous gesture from Simon Bradstock, Grace received a new MacBook Air to help her with her studies in Senior School at Rouse Hill High this year. Grace and her three siblings have been a part of our Police Legacy family for several years now, and she is already talking about walking the Kokoda Track once she turns 18.
Simon, who as one half of Beyond the Badge has had many dealings with Police Legacy over the years, truly understands the importance of educational opportunities for our young Legatees. When he won the laptop in last year’s Blue Ribbon Raffle, he thought straight away of Police Legacy, and consulted Community Support Manager Leisa Doherty to determine who would really benefit from the gift.
Grace will be doing her first work experience placement later this year, and also had the chance to talk to Simon (and Sean, also from Beyond the Badge) about the possibility of setting something up through their corporate contacts. Whatever you do, Grace, we're sure you'll go far. Thank you Simon, and the very best of luck Grace!
