September 2017
The Blue Ribbon Ball is our annual black tie gala dinner and our largest fundraiser in remembrance of all deceased NSW Police Force Officers. It is your chance to help us to remember our fallen colleagues as well as recognise and acknowledge the proud traditions and history of the NSW Police Force.
The 2017 Blue Ribbon Ball was held on 23 September at the Sydney International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour. The new Ballroom provided spectacular views of Darling Harbour and Sydney’s sparkling skyline. We celebrated our 30th anniversary with close to 800 guests making it our biggest Blue Ribbon Ball to date.
Guests danced the night away with a live performance from the NSW Police Force Band who played plenty of great hits from the 80s.
Event partner Hyundai Australia once again generously donated a brand new Hyundai Accent Sport 1.6L Hatchback which was won by guest Richard Kelly on the night.
The event raised significant funds for our police family and we would like to thank all of our guests for helping make this night a brilliant success for our community.
Special thanks to our event sponsors the Police Association of NSW and the Police Bank as well as Hyundai, Hicksons Lawyers, Scentre Group, EML, Mackinson d’Apice, Henry Davis York, Armaguard, Tait Radio Communications, TAL Insurance and Turramurra North Real Estate for their ongoing support and loyalty to our police family.
Special congratulations to the winners of our Blue Ribbon Raffle. The Blue Ribbon Raffle was a huge success this year, bringing in over $47,000 for our police family. Over 30,000 raffle tickets were sold across the state and the three winners were drawn at the Blue Ribbon Ball on Saturday 23 September. Congratulations to our winners David Miller, Matt Ciregna, and Norman Angelkovic. Thank you to our partners Police Bank for donating the first prize, an $8,000 Flight Centre Voucher. Thanks also go to P&O Cruises and Grant and Eddie Briscoe for donating the second and third prizes.
