Dec 2025
September saw a spoketacular amount of support for the Police Family. First up, the 13th Remembrance Bike Ride saw a dedicated group of cyclists set off from Sydney on a three-day journey to the National Police Memorial in Canberra. The launch began on the Art Gallery steps with the traditional safety briefing and a minute’s silence for our Victoria Police colleagues who tragically lost their lives. Then it was pedals down and spirits high as riders hit the road.
Day One delivered sunshine and smiles, Day Two brought headwinds and grit, and Day Three finished with cheers as the team rolled into Canberra. At the Memorial, our Chair, Det Supt Donna McCarthy, shared words of thanks and remembrance – a fitting close to an incredible effort. And the numbers? Over $100,000 raised! That’s a huge boost for programs supporting our Police Legatees. Massive thanks to every rider, volunteer, and donor who made this possible.
Not long after, the roar of engines replaced the whir of pedals for the Wall to Wall Ride for Remembrance. Hundreds of motorcyclists gathered at the NSW Police Wall of Remembrance before heading to Canberra. Among them was Police Legatee Will Edwards, riding in memory of his father, Sergeant Bradley Edwards. A powerful and personal reminder of why these events matter.
Wall to Wall isn’t just a ride; it’s a national show of solidarity. Riders from across Australia come together to honour those we’ve lost, and raise funds for Police Legacies nationwide. The generosity and commitment on display are nothing short of inspiring.
Two rides, two wheels, one purpose: remembrance and support for the Police Family. Thank you to everyone who rode, donated, or cheered from the sidelines. You’ve helped make a real difference.
