On Sunday 2 July 2017, 35 police legatees gathered at Sydney Airport to head off on a journey of a lifetime. This was never going to be your average adventure camp - their destination of Uluru and Kata Tjuta would see to that.
Inclusion of Special Constables

As a part of the 30th Anniversary celebrations, NSW Police Legacy announced that their support now includes Special Constables of the NSW Police Force. The move marks an important milestone for the NSW Police Force charity, and one that arose from the need to develop a greater understanding of the contemporary nature of policing following the murder of Mr Curtis Cheng in October 2015 at the NSW Police Force Headquarters in Parramatta.
30th Anniversary Family Day at Government House

For several years now, NSW Police Legatees have looked forward to and enjoyed the annual Family Day event. The special day provides a wonderful opportunity for our community to gather and enjoy a fun-filled day with family and friends. This year, to mark the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of NSW Police Legacy, His Excellency, General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales and Mrs Hurley hosted a special “30th Anniversary NSW Police Legacy Family Day” at Government House.
2017 Annual General Meeting

The NSW Police Legacy Annual General Meeting was held on 9 May, and welcomed four new Directors to the Board of Management. Each of our Directors volunteer their time and energy to this charity with no reward or benefit, and we offer our sincere thanks to them.
Kokoda Trek 2017

In 2017, seven NSW Police Legacy Legatees challenged themselves both physically and mentally and set off to Papua New Guinea to complete the arduous journey across The Kokoda Track.
