Two of our intrepid young Police Legatees, Holly and Mackenzie , spent twelve days over the Easter break hiking the wilds of Tharwa, in the ACT, as part of the Outward Bound Navigator Course.

In 2009, as a shy youngster on her first Police Legacy camp, Grace Bartley remembers noticing a funny boy named Mitchell Marshall. Scroll forward twelve years and Grace & Mitch are planning their wedding! We love a good connection story, and we wanted to find out how it happened.

January’s Adventure Camp was held on Milson Island, and for some Police Legatees it was the first time they had seen each other for nearly a year. As you might expect, the reunions were happy ones!

All good things must come to an end! And with the BACKUP for Life project finishing as of 30 June 2021 it is time for me to move onto new and exciting career challenges and sadly say goodbye to Police Legacy.

As usual we have hit the New Year running, hosting the under-18 Camp at Milson Island on the Hawkesbury River. Despite all the COVID precautions that needed to be taken to ensure the safety of our legatees, they all enjoyed the activities and renewed their friendships.
