As has become tradition at the end of summer, the Sydney Metro 1000 turned the go-kart track at Picton into a buzzing nest of friendly competition and camaraderie. We thank absolutely everybody who spent the months leading up to the competition fundraising for the Police Family, and we are especially grateful for NSWPL Champion Sergeant Damian Leemon, who continues to take this event from strength to strength. The event honours the memory of Snr Cst Kelly Foster VA, pictured engaged with her lifelong go-karting passion.
Congratulations to winning team AFT Autosports, taking the trophy for the second year running, and congratulations everyone who helped raise more than $26,000 through the event. You all deserve a chequered flag, as far as we’re concerned!
