The NSW Police Legacy Christmas Luncheon has been held for more than twenty years. It’s a tradition that gives our Police Legatees the opportunity to connect with old friends and make new ones, and offers hope to those who have lost a partner or a child.

2019 has been an extremely busy year for all of us at Police Legacy. Sadly we have had too many new families join us after their partners or parents died – some suddenly, and some after long illnesses. Police Legacy always extends a warm hand in support, and we have been engaging with families sooner to ensure we can offer support when it is most needed.

Gwen Martin: Blazing a Trail

In October we played host to a meeting of the Retired Police Association, and had the pleasure of being introduced to Gwen Martin, a trailblazing policewoman who joined the NSW Police Force in 1960 - one of three women in a class of ninety.
